Louisiana Cultural Districts
Broad Street is fortunate to have three Louisiana Cultural Districts on and around Broad. Properties in these districts are eligible for a 25% state historic tax credit, and businesses in the district do not pay state sales tax on original works of art.

ORDA Target Areas
Broad also enjoys two Office of Recovery and Development Administration Target Areas, which provide a number of public investments. The Target Areas are

GO Zone
The Gulf Opportunity Zone was created by Congressional act following the hurricanes of 2005. The GOZone offers a number of subsidies that include:
- Bonus depreciation
- Increased Federal Historic tax credit
Renewal Community
Federally-designated Renewal Communities offer a package of incentives designed to promote business investment in historically marginalized communities. The Renewal Community incentives provide both operational and capital-cost subsidies, including:
- Increased Section 179 reduction
- Worker Opportunity tax credit: $1200 per worker
