Do you support small businesses, vibrant commercial districts, and equitable communities? Then you already support the work of Broad Community Connections!
Did you know that Broad Street and Bayou Road are home to over 110 small businesses?
Do you like to shop? Then Community Book Center, Dashing Cycles, F&F Botanica, Glenda's Dis and Dat, Seasoned, B&B Antiques, Junk Masters, and the Kitchen Witch are the addresses you are looking for.
Do you like to eat? Well there are restaurants galore, from long-time institutions like Crescent City Steaks to more recent additions like Coco Hut, Norma's Bakery, and Pagoda Cafe, to newcomers like Pirogues, The Big Cheezy, and Dis & Dem.
Do you like to get your hair done? Well, we haven't done a scientific study, but we believe that Broad is Barber and Beauty central, with more barber shops and beauty salons than anywhere else in the city, with the likes of Headquarters, The GodBarber, Exclusive, Simply Divine, Klip Joint, and Heavenly House of Style ready to cut and craft your coiffure.
Does your car need a little love? Delta World Tire, Calamari Trim Shop, and Santos Automotive have your number.
Want to hear some New Orleans Sounds? Chickie Wah Wah, Prime Example, and Domino Sound Record Shack are the musical addresses that are singing your song.
Are arts your bag? The Broad Theater, the Joan Mitchell Center, and Esplanade Studios are all about art for art's sake.
Now you believe us when we say: Broad is a small business hub!
And did you know that Broad Community Connections works every day to support existing small businesses and attract new ones, such as through our Iconic Signage Project, which has created new neon signs for Zulu Social Aide and Pleasure Club, F&F Botanica, Calamari Trim Shop, the Crescent School of Gaming and Bartending, and The GodBarber? In recent months, The Broad Theater, Dashing Bicycles, the Kitchen Witch, Junk Masters, and Pirogues have swelled the Broad street ranks, and we are looking forward to the opening of the Ruby Slipper and other great local businesses this year.
